“Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.
For the Lord will comfort Zion, he will comfort all her waste places; he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.” (Isaiah 51:1-3, NKJV)
The moon is associated with light and this light is called moonlight. It is interesting to note that the moon does not provide a light of its own. Any glory that that the moon exude is dependent on its proper positioning. As the moon orbits the earth, the reflective heat and rays from the sun causes the moon to glow. Take out the sun and there is no glory in the moon.
Jesus is called the Sun of Righteousness. “But to you who fear My name
The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.” (Malachi 4:2, NKJV)
It is your proper alignment with him that causes your destiny to prosper. When we talk about prosperity or riches, it is all about true and enduring riches. “The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].” (Proverbs 10:22, TAB)
This definitely shows that God is interested in the prosperity of his saints. Do not let anybody deceive you or tell you otherwise. Poverty is not a virtue.
“Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” (Psalm 35:27, NKJV)
Prosperity is part of the salvation package if you follow kingdom instructions. “If they listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant.” (Job 36:11, NLT)
Hear this, the thoughts of God above every one of his other thoughts are for you to have true riches. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2, KJV)
…as your soul prospers means, it is your kingdom understanding of how it works that makes outstanding.
Let me quickly point out at this juncture that no person can truly make himself or herself rich. “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” (Psalm 127:1, NKJV)
In case somebody is saying that this is the Old Testament, Jesus Christ himself said, “I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” (John 15:5, TAB)
You have to be in vital union with him for you to be prosperous and for the prosperity to be enduring. The wealth could be here today but gone tomorrow.
“Do not weary yourself [with the overwhelming desire] to gain wealth;
Cease from your own understanding of it. When you set your eyes on wealth, it is [suddenly] gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies to the heavens.” (Proverbs 23: 4-5, TAB)
Struggle does not equate to wealth while working like a slave means nothing. If you want it by all means, you become mean to all things. This is why some people are extremely wicked and engage in rituals involving human lives in their quest to amass wealth at all cost.
The Pathway to True Riches
“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come…” (Luke 11:2, KJV)
For true riches, you have to be kingdom minded—it must be all about him. This pre-supposes that you have already surrendered your life to him.
There are 3 main things that you need to know about the Kingdom and the three works together.
- The Matter of the Kingdom
Matter is that which a physical object is composed of. In this regard it is what makes the kingdom. In effect, it is what makes or mar you as a kingdom citizen. This is your set of attributes, value system and what you are
You cannot leave the matters of the kingdom and run after other things. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33, KJV)
The matter of the Kingdom as it relates to prosperity is a covenant—Deuteronomy 8:11-18
- The Manner of the Kingdom
“Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.” (1 Samuel 10:25, KJV)
This is a function of how i.e. the operation i.e. running of the affairs of the kingdom. There is a manual of how things are supposed to operate in the kingdom. “Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.” (Matthew 13:52, KJV)
A deviation from the operation manual makes you ineffective as a king. If you are a king and you do not know how the kingdom operates, you are not better than a servant. The manner of the kingdom is according to giving and receiving:
- The Renewal of the Kingdom
“Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.” (1 Samuel 11:14, KJV)
This is what sustains your kingship, rulership or kingdom. Renewal of the Kingdom demonstrates where you stand before the king. It answers the question of fruitfulness as a child of God.
Kingdom renewal is what causes you to go from strength to strength when you appear before him. “They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.” (Psalm 84:7, KJV)
Kingdom renewal with respect to prosperity is according to seedtime and harvest—Genesis 8:22
