“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Philippians 2:5, KJV)
The blessings of the Lord and His promises are available to all but not all partake in it. What you give to a baby you do not give to an adult. What a baby does and gets away with it an adult cannot attempt it.
“And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.” (Luke 7:31-32, KJV)
Despite the fact that God has made you a king and a priest, the wrong attitude will desecrate your authority.
“Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!” (Ecclesiastes 10:16, KJV)
Though redemption gives you the power to become a son of God but if you do not utilize the power, it will just be lying dormant.
God’s leading determine your sonship or daughtership. It is when he begins to lead you that you truly becomes his son or daughter.
“They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.” (Isaiah 49:10, KJV)
For you to have an attitude of faith, the spirit of faith must come upon you. While you have the word of faith, you also have the spirit of faith. This is a ready kind of faith. I have been privileged to be in the delivery room and have also watched the delivery of children in documentary programs but I have never seen any one of the women gentle.
There is a form of measured violence that governs every one of their actions even their requests. While there is a time to talk, there is a time your talk becomes action. When the spirit of faith enters into a man or woman, and a request or demand is made, though he might have been saying the same thing previously but this time around the person being spoken to knows I better act or else.
“And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.” (Genesis 30:1, KJV)
It was the spirit of faith not head knowledge about faith that caused a woman to shun ridicule and shame by going for the hem of the garment of Jesus in a crowd while at the same time announcing her shame for everybody to know.
“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:” (Matthew 9:20, KJV)
A touch of the hem of the garment of Jesus not even his body gave her healing. Obviously this woman was drunk on faith. “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;” (Ephesians 5:18, KJV) This woman was a trailblazer. She did what nobody had ever attempted. What she did caused others to attempt same. “And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.” (Matthew 14:36, KJV)
The spirit of faith takes no prisoners. The question is, is there anything called the Spirit of Faith? Yes there is.
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” (2 Corinthians 4:13, KJV)
The spirit of faith will cause you to forget your inabilities or inadequacies and focus on the divine ability. What is not working in your life has no meaning to you. It is all about what he has said.
“ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, KJV)
The treasure that is in you is first supposed to enable you deal with all manner of difficulties after which the life of Jesus will be made manifest in you.
Any person that is operating in the spirit of faith puts on God like a new garment. “And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. (Zechariah 9:14, KJV)
