“The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.” (Ezekiel 37:1,10, NKJV)
“Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,” (Luke 4:1, NKJV)
It is one thing for God to be in a place it is another thing and a whole lot better for God to be in a person. “Thus saith the Lord, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.” (Isaiah 45:14, KJV)
God in you guarantees his leading which in turn guarantees a lifting. An avenue for God to be in you is through the Holy Spirit. For you to thrive, you need to submit to him by believing that he knows what he is doing. The Spirit led Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones while Jesus was led to the wilderness. It is extremely important that you believe that the Holy Spirit knows what he is doing for you to thrive through him.
You could be staring abundance in the face and not be able to partake in it if God has not opened your eyes and he is not leading you. Jacob said, God is in the place and I did not know it. Also Hagar was staying next to water until God opened her eyes.
God will only lead his anointed and to be anointed implies the presence of the Holy Spirit. Remember the Holy Spirit is Holy. It is extremely advantageous to live a life pleasing unto him because it confers blessings on your generations yet unborn,
“Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.” (Psalm 112:1-3, KJV)
Living a life that is pleasing to him ensures that he permanently dwells in you so that you are not deceived.
It is extremely advantageous to live a holy life especially in this season of the Holy Spirit. God cannot be involved with you if you do not take the time and put in the effort to live a life that eschews all manner of evil.
“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.” (Proverbs 20:7, KJV)
With the leading of the Holy Spirit, you can never miss your way and obstacles start to flee of their own accord. It is God’s leading that makes your destiny profitable.
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17, NKJV)
The interesting thing about the Holy Spirit’s leading is that he is not giving you directions but he is actually there with you. He is going before you. Other words for lead are spearhead, trailblazer, etc. God will spearhead certain things for your destiny.
What does it mean Thrive through the Holy Spirit?
- There is always a solution because you go to the root cause of a problem. Eliezer the servant of Abraham was sent on an errand that had failure written all over it. Look for a wife for Isaac in a land that he has never been to before, without the wife seeing the man and bring the wife to Isaac. Eliezer even asked his master what if the woman will not follow me?
As a testimony, Eliezer said, “Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and truth: I being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.” (Genesis 24:27, KJV)
He also said, “…and blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take…” (Genesis 24:48, KJV)
This leading was so sure that the first lady that she encountered became the wife that she travelled to look for. There was no guess work, no error, no mistake. It is always precise.
- You hear secrets from heaven: Matthew 2:1-12
Daniel was led to say, “I will not eat the portion of the king’s meat.” Based on this, he was brought into favour. Daniel 1:8-9. Later when the king had a dream and he forgot, the secret was revealed to Daniel. Daniel 2:16-19
“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (Deuteronomy 29:29, KJV)
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2, KJV)
- You never miss your way
God knows the right way to take for a glorious destiny. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man…Proverbs 14:12, Proverbs 16:25
“When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them on the road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest way from Egypt to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” (Exodus 13:17, NLT)
God realized that giant killers were not available in the Israelites camp at that time. They did not have a David nor any of his mighty men (Adino—killed 800 with his spear at a time, Eleazar the son of Dodo—killed philistines until the sword clave to his hand, shammah—stood his ground when other Israelites fled and killed philistines, Benaiah—slew two lion like men of Moab) It was also not fathomable that God will leave some of the enemies of the Israelites standing in a land that He already promised them.
“I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate [for lack of attention] and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and are numerous enough to take possession of the land.”(Exodus 23: 9-30, AMP)
- Every enemy run out of the way when he is leading you
Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint.” (Deuteronomy 8:15
