UNVEILING THE PATHWAY OF DIVINE VISITATION

“And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.” (Genesis 21:1, KJV)

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.  And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” (Luke 1:26-28, NKJV)

One thing that is not in doubt is that God visits.  “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Psalm 8:4, KJV)

Anytime the Almighty God visits anywhere or anybody, the place is never the same again.  This mighty God can visit:

Anytime:

“Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.” (Psalm 17:3, KJV)

Anyone (Abraham—Father):

“And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.” (Genesis 12:, KJV)

Anyone (Isaac—son):

And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: (Genesis 26:2, KJV)

At any age—old:

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” (Genesis 17:1

Effect of Divine Visitation

  1. Transformation: Destiny is irreversibly changed.  You are changed inwardly and outwardly.  Your desires and taste change, even the company that you keep change. “As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.  Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.” (Acts 9:3-7, NKJV)

  1. Empowerment: A divine ability is given. What you were unable to do before, you begin to do after divine visit. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4, KJV)

  1. Deliverance: Every chain and fetter break. Limitations and barriers are uprooted. Gates are lifted. “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his” (Acts 12:5-7, NKJV)
  2. Relief: “Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread.” (Ruth 1:6, KJV)
  3. Revelation: “Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night, and Daniel blessed the God of heaven.Daniel answered, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever! For wisdom and might are His! He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding! He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!” (Daniel 2:19-22, TAB)

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3, KJV)

The Almighty God is a purposeful God and in this season, he shall visit you and you will testify of his goodness.

Be Blessed!
